Effect of the Surface States of 1Cr18Ni9Ti Stainless Steel on Mn-Based Brazing Alloy Wetting

The wetting properties of the brazing filler on substrates play an important role in achieving a reliable joint. In this work, behaviour Mn-based alloy surface 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel is investigated. First, treatment was adopted to prepare four different states steel, including polished, acid treatment, nickel coating, and sandblasting. morphology with coating shows micro-and nano-scale protrusions, forming uniform 3D Ni layer. roughness increases after sandblasting treatment. It found that angle coated decreases noticeably. After sandblasting, high speeds up spread at initial stage. effect heating temperature holding time also studied systematically. With increase time, height melting slightly sample surfaces. Based characterization joint section, layer dissolves into alloy. diffusion dissolving are indicated between substrates, bond.
